Acuscope & Myopulse Treatment Procedures

Here (below) is a quick look at a variety of applications - various Treatment Procedures using Acuscope-Myopulse biotechnology:

The first step in a treatment may be to take a "Baseline Body Reading" with the Acuscope.  The biofeedback shown in numbers on the digital display can indicate "overall cellular charge."

We access the "Foot Gates" (AcuPoints LV 3). This bi-lateral assessment of the Liver Meridian reveals the degree of impedance (or resistance when a gentle microcurrent push is applied).  This is a key factor in assessing systemic condition in general and is influential in determining expectations regarding recovery.  Tissue conductivity is a clue to how many treatments will be required.  If "cellular charge" is low, cellular self-repair ability is compromised!

Next, one can determine whether there is an imbalance between the two sides of the body by "reading" the feedback from "Hand Gate" to "Foot Gate."  When issues are resolved, both sides become equally highly conductive.

A series of treatments addressing the AcuPoints along the Meridians is a popular treatment technique today.  Instructions are included in the Training Program. No Acupuncture background necessary.

While the Acuscope Frequency and Intensity control the delivery of the treatment carrier waves, the Gain Spectrum presets the monitoring level, "fine-tuning" the bio-feedback for accuracy and precision.  The "optic eye" of the Gain Spectrum is how the circuitry "looks" at the tissue.  Sensitively adjusting the Gain to where the focus is within range allows the instrument to "see" cellular issues more clearly.

The Timer is set based on neural pathway and/or local area monitoring for short bursts (seconds) or extended treatment applications (minutes).

The Threshold allows EMF "noise" to be filtered out in order for the instrument to read subtle electrical information being conducted within the tissue.

A complex square waveform Output is configured by computer-chip circuitry in response to Input received.

Treatment procedure options are virtually unlimited, once the goal of treatment is understood.

In order to resolve issues of PNS (Peripheral Nervous System) conductivity using the Acuscope, General Systemic Well-Being Treatment Procedures may be applied in a variety of ways.

Shown here, Mini-Plate Placement Electrodes are applied specifically to address the Sciatic Nerves which run down the backs of the legs.  The Plates are situated bi-laterally, strategically placed over Spinal Nerve Roots in the Lumbar area.  For this application, the 1" X 3" Mini Plate Electrodes directly affect three Nerve Roots.  They may be used to conduct the current side-to-side, from plate to plate.

Then, one plate at a time can be connected to the Red Ring Electrodes Jack (which is the Active) used in combination with an Electrode plugged into the Blue Ring Jack (which is the Reference).

For this procedure a 1" X 1" Mini-Plate is placed at the knee on the same side (see photo left), or at the ankle (bottom photo); thereby improving circulation of nerve signals to and from the spine, all  the way up and down one leg, then the other.

One can also treat from knee to knee and from ankle to ankle, further boosting the improvement in circulation of nerve currents side-to-side in the lower exremities.

The Spinal Column conducts nerve signals that communicate vital information from the brain to all parts of the body . . . and back again.  It is imperative that the nerve roots emerging from between the vertebrae remain unobstructed.  Many spine conditions can cause nerve impingement, either blocking neuro-chemical transmissions, or resulting in tissue inflammation at these critical, acute sites.

The Acuscope's feedback reveals abnormalities in conductivity at Spinal Nerve Roots and can be used to overcome dangerous excesses and deficiencies.

Here is how this effect can be achieved:

The patient is lying in a comfortable face-down position, breathing through the face-cradle of a massage table.

You can see the cup of Electrolyte Solution and the
Y-Probe accessory ready to be used.

The tips of this probe are spaced perfectly for a bi-lateral Nerve Root application of the Acuscope. Each nerve root can be assessed and treated.

The Y-Probe is used in a variety of ways.

Applying the Pre-Treatment Cream with the fingertips provides an opportunity to palpate the hip area for tightness and precise pain location.

The treatment shown here is a Myopulse procedure, where the Conductive Electrolyte Cream is spread over the entire area of involvement, and the probe is used in a deep, but gentle massaging fashion.

After surgery, daily treatment produces best results.

An operation was necessary to set a broken ankle (photo left). Placement electrodes placed on both sides, conduct Acuscope and Myopulse treatment through the involved soft tissue.  Initially, higher frequencies are applied to reduce swelling and inflammation.  As the area progresses, lower frequencies help to maintain maximum cellular activity level until the self-repair is complete.

Other Electrode applications for treatment of the ankle, knee (or any joint) for Post-Op or after an injury include using the Trigger Probe and Non-Trigger Probe with Brass Tips (photo left).

If there is a pain syndrome in a particular joint, one can use a single placement electrode as a Reference, in combination with a hand-held Trigger Probe for treating points of contact all around the joint; or one can attach another Mini-Plate to conduct prolonged Acuscope and Myopulse treatment through the area; or use a moving roller electrode.

Results include speedier healing than would be expected without Acuscope-Myopulse treatment.

Wherever there is a pain syndrome, a combination of two different electrodes can address the issue.

For example, using a 1" X 1" Mini-Plate on the wrist and holding the Hand Held Bar would be one option for treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

When issues such as TMJ cause pain and restricted range of motion, both the Acuscope and Myopulse are used.

The patient (photo left) is holding a long handle ball tip Oral Probe designed to be used inside the mouth; he places it against the jaw joint, inside.  The reference electrode can be a Mini-Roller or a Trigger Probe applied by the therapist to the outside of the cheek and neck, The Grand Ball Probe is another good exterior choice.

The ORAL PROBE can also provide a profound Nervous System well-being treatment when it is used to stimulate the Odontons (Nerve Roots at the gumline of the teeth).  For the Odonton procedure, the Large Plates are placed under the feet.

Not shown here, the two Large Plates are connected to an interface box which causes the Acuscope to interpret feedback from both sides, the bottoms of both feet, as a single reference to the Nervous System.

This treatment procedure is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Auricular Point Stimulation has long been recognized as an extremely beneficial method of providing a General Well-Being effect as well as pain management for particular problematic issues in the body.

The Acuscope feedback enables the Operator to find the precise location of high-conductive points; and to apply the ideal micro-current level of stimulation to a very sensitive surface.

Note to Acuscope BioTechnicians:  if you wish to really master Auricular applications, please learn from the undisputed master, Terry Oleson.  He has been a fan of the Acuscope for many years, as you can see from this letter he sent to us in 1986.  Recently, he reconfirmed that the Acuscope is still "by far" the best microcurrent stimulation device for Auricular Therapy.

At the end of a treatment session in which one has been addressing painful issues in any area of the body, it is recommended that the patient rest quietly for a period of calm relaxation using the Acuscope with either the Ear Clips or the Head Band.

The Frequencies applied with these trans-cranial electrodes cause the brainwaves to synchronize to the relaxing Alpha Range:  either 8 Hz for deeply regenerative relaxation; or 10 Hz for alert relaxation.  Using the Acuscope, we apply a low Intensity of 200 uA (micro-Amps) or less.

With the Neuroscope, we can use 12.8 Hz, the Frequency at the upper edge of the Alpha Range, which "clears the cobwebs" and produces mental clarity.

Ideally, we can provide a quiet environment, and suggest that the
patient simply relax and let go of all cares and concerns for
15-20 minutes of undisturbed rest.  Many will fall asleep during this time, especially at the end of their first few sessions if they are in a depleted condition. Over the course of a series of treatments, they may eventually become well-rested enough to simply remain awake but deeply relaxed during Relaxation Therapy.

Most report that they sleep better than ever at night as a result of this treatment.  Highly recommended for practitioners!
